The BeadBug™ 6 joins the Benchmark Microtube Homogenizer family, featuring a three-dimensional shaking motion to disrupt samples. It provides an extremely fast and efficient method for releasing cellular contents, including nucleic acids and proteins. Various sample types, from cells in culture to organ tissues and bone, can be homogenized within 45 seconds. Simply set the speed, time, number of cycles, and pause between cycles, then press start. The last programmed parameters remain in memory for repeated runs.

The BeadBug 6, Six Position Homogenizer offers a powerful solution for lysis, grinding, and homogenization, providing faster and more effective results than traditional tissue grinders. This compact unit, less than 9 inches wide, can homogenize up to 6 tubes simultaneously, making it ideal for medium-throughput laboratories. The three-dimensional shaking motion, combined with appropriate beads, creates high-velocity impacts that efficiently release cellular contents, including nucleic acids and proteins, in as little as 45 seconds.
Programming the BeadBug 6 is straightforward with easy-to-set speed, time, number of cycles, and pause duration between cycles. The unit retains the last programmed parameters for convenience. Sealed 2.0ml tubes prevent cross contamination, ensuring sample integrity. Post-homogenization, tubes can be centrifuged, and lysate can be collected with a pipette. The BeadBug 6 also accommodates two 5.0ml tubes with optional adapters. A full range of bead materials and sizes are available in both prefilled tubes and bulk to meet all sample processing needs.
