Accuris SmartDrop™ Nano Spectrophotometers Features
SmartDrop eliminates the need for complex workflows. A small sample is placed directly on the quartz pedestal, the arm lowers, and the droplet is gently stretched into a defined column for analysis. In just seconds, concentrations and purity ratios for DNA, RNA, and proteins appear on-screen. The system’s automatic path-length control ensures accuracy from microvolumes as low as 0.5 µL, helping researchers conserve precious samples while maintaining reliable quantification.
All SmartDrop models allow you to print results instantly, save data locally, or export via USB as an Excel file for easy sharing and recordkeeping.
Three Models, Tailored for Every Lab
Each SmartDrop model offers a unique balance of performance and capability:
SmartDrop L
The affordable choice for routine analysis. Uses an LED light source and silicon detector to quantify nucleic acids and proteins at 260/280 nm, detecting up to 2,500 ng/µL of dsDNA. Perfect for quick, everyday quality checks.
SmartDrop X
A full-spectrum spectrophotometer covering 200–800 nm for detailed absorbance scans. Includes auto-ranging path lengths (0.2 mm / 1.0 mm), long-life Xenon lamp, and built-in programs for BCA, Bradford, and Lowry assays. Capable of detecting up to 4,500 ng/µL of dsDNA without dilution.
SmartDrop XF
The most advanced model, combining UV-Vis absorbance and fluorescence detection for highly sensitive quantification. Features a motorized optical system with three path lengths (0.05, 0.2, and 1.0 mm), fluorometer integration, and detection sensitivity down to 0.5 pg/µL of dsDNA. Ideal for low-concentration samples and advanced molecular workflows.
