The PlateFuge™ MicroPlate MicroCentrifuge is an innovative, compact solution designed to enhance lab workflows. As the first "mini" centrifuge featuring a patented swing-out rotor for microplates, it ensures all reactants collect at the bottom of wells for optimal concentrations and improved yields in PCR processes. Despite its small footprint (9.2 x 10.2 in.), it offers powerful performance with a speed of 2550 rpm (600 xg) and can spin most samples in under 20 seconds.
The centrifuge accepts a variety of PCR plates—skirted, semi-skirted, and non-skirted—as well as microtiter plates up to 25 mm tall. Its rotor chamber, designed for ease of use, securely holds two plates at a 75° angle to prevent spills during loading and unloading. Once the lid is closed, centrifugal force swings the plates into a horizontal position, efficiently consolidating droplets into the wells.
With an electric brake that halts operation in just 4 seconds and a quiet yet robust build, the PlateFuge™ is engineered for durability and convenience. It runs on 115V or 230V power, making it adaptable for global use, and comes with a 2-year warranty for peace of mind.
