The VFC 200® WiFi Temperature & Humidity Data Logger provides wireless environmental monitoring without the need to regularly remove and download a USB data logger. Temperature and humidity readings are transmitted over an existing WiFi network for convenient monitoring and data review, while onboard logging helps maintain a continuous record if network connectivity is temporarily lost.
The VFC 200® measures temperature and relative humidity and wirelessly transmits recorded data over a WiFi network to a connected PC. Designed for applications requiring ongoing environmental monitoring, the logger eliminates the need to physically retrieve a device each time data needs to be downloaded.
The VFC 200® supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi networks and is compatible with enterprise networks using PEAP, TTLS, and FAST. During setup, the sensor searches for an available wireless network while connected to a PC and can then be positioned anywhere within network range. WiFi extenders can also be used to increase the available monitoring range.
If network connectivity is temporarily interrupted, the VFC 200® continues logging readings internally until communication with the PC application is restored. The logger can retain up to 60 days of readings when configured with a 10-second sample interval, helping prevent gaps in monitoring during temporary network outages.
Using the available software, users can configure the sensor name, °C or °F display, sampling rate, and high and low alarm thresholds. Historical readings can be reviewed using the graphing tools or exported to Excel for additional analysis and recordkeeping.
The VFC 200® uses a rechargeable internal battery designed to provide more than one year of operation under typical sampling conditions, such as one reading every 60 seconds. The battery can be recharged through a PC or compatible 5V USB wall adapter.
